Can a lengthy sauna session make you look noticeably thinner?
I'm not thinking of doing this regularly - I just thought maybe before an event it would be nice. I've heard a person can lose up to 7-8 pounds in the sauna (obviously I know it's water and it's temporary). If that's true I think it really could make a difference in how one looks - especially in the face. Anyone know?

- saunas longer than prescribed can be dangerous
- its not true. maybe you can sweat off a little bit, but not enough for someone to notice. it is also really dangerous and if you are sweating off seven or eight pounds you know that it bad.
- This is a good question, i know a lot about water weight because i am a wrestler. Yes it is true one can lose 7-8 pounds in one session, but you need to drink some after. The event will not be as fun if you are dehydrated. Say if you lose 6 pounds, drink and least back 3, of water or something like g2 gatorade, need those electrolytes. And yes, it does tone your face temporarily, when i would cut weight my face would be more chiseled, but i cut more than 7 pounds. Also try sucking in and wrapping your stomach with saran wrap, before the event, for a few hours, this will trim your stomach...temporarily. Do this in moderation and don't get stupid, nothing beats a healthy diet and exercise if you have any more question about this, something i missed, just ask
