Sauna

Can a lengthy sauna session make you look noticeably thinner?

I'm not thinking of doing this regularly - I just thought maybe before an event it would be nice. I've heard a person can lose up to 7-8 pounds in the sauna (obviously I know it's water and it's temporary). If that's true I think it really could make a difference in how one looks - especially in the face. Anyone know?

  1. saunas longer than prescribed can be dangerous
  2. its not true. maybe you can sweat off a little bit, but not enough for someone to notice. it is also really dangerous and if you are sweating off seven or eight pounds you know that it bad.
  3. This is a good question, i know a lot about water weight because i am a wrestler. Yes it is true one can lose 7-8 pounds in one session, but you need to drink some after. The event will not be as fun if you are dehydrated. Say if you lose 6 pounds, drink and least back 3, of water or something like g2 gatorade, need those electrolytes. And yes, it does tone your face temporarily, when i would cut weight my face would be more chiseled, but i cut more than 7 pounds. Also try sucking in and wrapping your stomach with saran wrap, before the event, for a few hours, this will trim your stomach...temporarily. Do this in moderation and don't get stupid, nothing beats a healthy diet and exercise if you have any more question about this, something i missed, just ask
