What can a sauna or steam room or hot spa/spring provide for you that exercise can't?
Is there something that weight training or cardio exercise can't provide of a sauna/steam room/spa? While only weight training and cardio give you more benefits but also help you sweat the same way, are these other techniques simply a waste of time?

- Best benefit? probably sweating out toxins from your body. A lot of people have the belief that if you sit in a sauna you will lose water weight. Absolutely false. Yes, you may lose a pound or two, but you will immediately gain the weight back once you drink water. Boxers and other fighters usually use this technique to JUST make their weight class, and then simply gain the weight after their weigh ins.
- it is relaxing and its a way to socialise naked with others
