Whats the benefits of using a steam room and a sauna?
I have recently joined a gym to get back into shape. Its been 2 years since I last been in a gym. I have always used the steam room after I work out and do my cardio. Today, while in the steam room, I got to wondering what exactly are the benefits of either the steam room or the sauna. Just curious, thats all.

- I use the steam room almost every time I go to the gym. I think it helps relax your muscles after you work out. It also makes you sweat which rids the body of impurities.
- best answer I can give you is steam room is wet heat and sauna is dry heat...it's a matter of personal preference
- There are many ways to cleanse your skin of impurities. Saunas and steam baths allow you to eliminate heavy metals through your perspiration. A sauna is dry heat. A steam is wet heat. Dry heat is actually better for deep muscle relaxation and tends to be a bit more sanitary. Wet heat is preferred by some because it causes more of a sweat and opens the pores more. Both are very therapeutic
